About San Franciscans for Laguna Honda
San Franciscans for Laguna Honda (SFLH) is a grassroots non-profit 501(c)(4) volunteer organization formed in 2005 to advocate for the rights of seniors, frail and disabled people at Laguna Honda Hospital; to hold the Citys Department of Public Health accountable; and to work for safety, appropriate care, and sound management at Laguna Honda.
SFLH is a coalition of healthcare advocates for the elderly and people with disabilities; neighbors of, and volunteers at, Laguna Honda Hospital; neighborhood leaders and taxpayer associations; family members of Laguna Honda residents, former and current Laguna Honda staff members; and nurses, doctors, clergy, good government activists, and other concerned San Franciscans from throughout the City.
We include the full spectrum of political viewpoints but are united in our goals for Laguna Honda, including advocating that the promises made to San Franciscans and voters in 1999 be kept by City officials, and ensuring the safety of residents and staff at Laguna Honda. We are also committed to maintaining LHHs historical mission to provide high quality long-term skilled nursing care to elderly, frail, and disabled San Franciscans.
